Vacancy for Clinical Neuropsychologist (F/T or P/T; Temporary or Permanent)
Salary £51,672 – £57480 pa FTE (37.5 hours)
Sage Psychologie UK Limited is looking to take on a Clinical Neuropsychologist in a temporary capacity to cover maternity leave, although there is the option of a permanent post if so desired.
We are a community Brain Injury Service who specialise in working with children and adults. Many of our clients are referred to us for assessment and treatment after having sustained a traumatic brain injury. Others have suffered a brain injury at birth, and many have a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. All our clinicians take a holistic and systemic approach in treatment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams involved in the client’s rehabilitation, and often involving and supporting the families, siblings and/or other significant others.
You will need to live no more than a 2 hour car journey from Chester in order to attend team meetings once a week, although you will be primarily home-based. We have found that home-based working allows for greater flexibility in working hours. As this is a community role, you will need to be able to travel to clients’ homes or other venues for appointments and meetings. We do also offer Zoom appointments when appropriate, which allows us to work with clients throughout the UK and in other countries.
The minimum qualification for this post is the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and we have a preference for someone who has completed the QICN. As we work with survivors of brain injury and trauma across the lifespan, it would be helpful if you have some experience – or a strong interest in – working with children with a brain injury and/or developmental issues.
Sage Psychologie has been established for 15 years, and we have an excellent reputation as a professional, friendly, and caring team. We place a high value on being approachable, encouraging excellent communication, and working in an open, ethical, and holistic manner.
We are looking for a positive person who is passionate about their work; a team player who enjoys working together with others to provide the best service possible for their clients. The role would suit someone who has a zest for life and a genuine heart for what they do. Excellent communication skills are essential, together with a high level of ability to self-organise and to keep accurate, highly detailed records of work undertaken.
For an informal chat please feel free to call Dr Jo Neal, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, on 07931 478599. For a job description, person specification and application form, please email Jenna Brooks-Taylor, Practice Manager, firstname.lastname@example.org
